New Year, New Council

This evening at City Council, Frankenmuth swore in a new Mayor and three new Council members. It’s exciting. It’s a lot of change. I have always been a proponent of change – I believe when you’re ripe, you’re rotting. We (as organizations, as government, as individuals) should always try to better ourselves and the world around us.

New bosses (which for me is what this means) can be a little frightening. But what I’m most looking forward to is the chance for us all to be challenged to look at things differently, to learn more, to basically find ways to figure out what incremental things we can do that will make us (as a government) better.

One of the things that we discussed is the desire of City Council to have more engagement with the public. Believe it or not, they would actually like to see you at their open meetings. What would make you turn up there?

Do you have ideas? Let me know.
