Today I’ve been officially working for you for two years. Depending on the day, it either seems much longer than that, or much shorter. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Typical tenure for a City Manager in the US is somewhere between three and five years. In some communities, if you make it two years that’s a reason to celebrate. I am very grateful to be where I am. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is hands down, the most fun I’ve ever had and been paid at the same time. The work is good, but the people (the ones I work along side and the ones I work for) make the difference. So thanks for letting me stay. I’m looking forward to another 365 and a chance to do really great things with you.
If you have ideas, comments, concerns, complaints – that’s what I’m here for. Sometimes a City just doesn’t know what we don’t know. Email me or stop by.
